This Colt™ 8 inch lead free reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable water into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and backpressure. It is approved for horizontal N pattern installation, making it ideal for continuous pressure piping applications and cross-connections identified as health hazards.

This assembly features a stainless steel body with a quick access sleeve, torsion spring check modules, resilient seated gate valves with outside stem and yoke, test cocks, and a bottom mounted pressure relief valve. It includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.

Flood Detection Connectivity

  • The flood sensor, when paired with an add-on connection kit, relays alerts for potential flooding events.
  • Connection kit options allow for integration via BMS, cellular communication, or a Sensor Control Monitor for BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
