This Colt™ 8 inch stainless steel reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable water from entering the potable water supply due to backsiphonage or backpressure.

This compact modular design is approved for horizontal N pattern installation and includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology.

Construction & Design

• Consists of two independent Link Check modules, a differential pressure relief valve, two drip tight shutoff valves, and required test cocks.
• Link Check modules and relief valve are contained within a single accessible housing made from 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel pipe with groove end connections.
• Bypass assembly includes a meter for gallon or cubic measurements and a reduced pressure zone assembly.
• OS&Y model includes an integrated supervisory switch that activates within two turns from open and sends a tamper signal when the valve is closed or removed.
