FAQs

What type of backflow protection does this assembly provide?

This assembly is a double check valve backflow preventer designed to protect against backpressure and backsiphonage conditions for non-health hazard (pollutant) applications. It prevents non-potable water from entering the potable water system.

What is the significance of ArmorTek® coating?

ArmorTek® is a patented three-part advanced epoxy coating system applied to the internal and external surfaces. It is engineered to reduce microbial-induced corrosion (MIC), protect exposed metal surfaces, and reduce lead leach-in.

What are the shutoff valves included with this assembly?

This assembly comes with domestic non-rising stem (NRS) resilient wedge gate valves, compliant with AWWA C509 standards. These valves are designed to provide reliable shutoff capabilities.

What are the maximum operating pressure and temperature limits for this device?

The maximum working pressure for this backflow preventer is 175 psi (12.1 bar). It can operate continuously within a temperature range of 33°F to 140°F (0.5°C to 60°C).

Is this backflow preventer assembly easy to maintain?

Yes, it features an in-line serviceable and compact modular design, which facilitates easy maintenance and in-line repairs without requiring special tools.
