It is primarily used for non-health hazard, non-potable service applications such as irrigation, fire line, or industrial processing, and is ideal for protection of drinking water and fire sprinkler systems where local codes mandate protection from non-potable water being pumped or siphoned back into the potable water system. It is also suitable for fire sprinkler and standpipe systems requiring detection of unauthorized water use.
