This Colt™ 8 inch Lead Free Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly provides protection to the potable water system from contamination due to backsiphonage and backpressure, commonly used in health-hazard applications like fire sprinkler systems. It also monitors for unauthorized water use from the fire protection system.

Construction & Design

• Features an extremely compact design and is 70% lighter than traditional designs.
• The entire valve body and closure sleeve are manufactured from Type 304 (Schedule 40) stainless steel.
• Includes torsion spring check valves, a corrosive resistant bottom mounted pressure relief valve, and nickel plated test cocks.
• Equipped with OSY (Outside Stem and Yoke) resilient seated gate valves for shutoff.
• Furnished with a cubic feet per minute meter for detecting underground leaks and unauthorized water use.
• Groove fittings allow for integral pipeline adjustment and unmatched ease of serviceability.
• Features a patented link check for lowest pressure loss and replaceable check disc rubber.

Flood Detection & Monitoring

• Contains a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology on the relief valve to detect continuous or excessive water discharges.
• The flood sensor relays a signal that triggers a multichannel alert (call, email, text) to notify personnel about potential flooding.
• An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor. Without the connection kit, the flood sensor is a passive component and will not communicate with any other device.
• The OS&Y model includes an option for an integrated supervisory switch on each gate valve.

Lead Free Compliance

• The wetted surface of this product contacted by consumable water contains less than 0.25% of lead by weight, complying with Lead Free* installation requirements.
