Description

The Colt 8 inch Lead Free Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly (LFC500) protects potable water systems from contamination by back-siphonage and backpressure. This Z-pattern unit monitors unauthorized water usage with a cubic feet per minute (CFM) bypass meter and features a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect relief valve discharge. Activating the flood sensor requires an add-on connection kit. Constructed with durable Type 304 stainless steel, it is UL Classified and FM Approved, ensuring reliable performance for fire protection systems. Item number F0124657.

Help Me Connect

This backflow preventer's flood sensor requires an add-on sensor connection kit for activation to detect excessive water discharges. Without this kit, the flood sensor acts as a passive component and will not communicate with other devices. Connection kit options include Building Management System (BMS) integration, cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor.

The Sensor Control Monitor enables integration with a Building Automation System (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or with the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
