Description

The Zurn Wilkins 8" ZW209 Fire Pressure Reducing Valve is a pilot-operated valve specifically designed for fire suppression systems requiring stable downstream pressure and high flow rates. This 8-inch valve features ANSI Class 150 flanged connections and a robust ductile iron body with internal and external red epoxy coating for superior corrosion resistance. Its reactive pilot assembly ensures consistent pressure regulation, automatically sealing shut to prevent downstream damage. Standard isolation valves and pressure gauges facilitate easy maintenance and repairs. Certified to ANSI/AWWA C530 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for lead-free compliance, it operates in water from 33°F to 140°F with a 15-120 psi pilot spring range. Item number 8-ZW209FPX.

Additional Details

The Zurn Wilkins Model ZW209 Pilot Operated Pressure Reducing Valve is designed for many applications where the reduction of high inlet pressures to safe and stable outlet pressure is required, especially in Fire Suppression Systems where steady downstream pressure and high flow rates are necessary.

The valve's pilot assembly reacts to changes in downstream pressure, allowing the main valve to modulate between closed and open positions to maintain a constant downstream set pressure. It automatically seals shut once the pilot setting is reached, preventing downstream damage. The ZW209 also comes standard with red epoxy coating internally and externally for enhanced corrosion protection, alongside isolation valves and pressure gauges for quick and easy maintenance or repair.
