The Febco 2 1/2" LF870V Double Check Valve Assembly is a lead-free backflow preventer designed to protect potable water systems from non-health hazard pollutants due to backsiphonage or backpressure. This assembly is ideal for non-health hazard cross-connections and service line containment.

This LF870V assembly is supplied less shutoff valves and features a configurable N-Pattern design, which can also be installed in a vertical Z-pattern configuration.

Construction & Features

  • Features a ductile iron valve body with a patented ArmorTek® 3-part advanced epoxy coating system, engineered to resist microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrate.
  • Designed with lead-free* construction, ensuring wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25% lead by weight.
  • Includes two independently acting clapper-style check modules with reversible and replaceable discs and stainless steel check components and seats.
  • In-line serviceable assembly with no special tools required for servicing the check modules, which are accessed through independently top entry covers.
  • Commonality between 1st and 2nd check components.
  • Equipped with a winterization feature, disc retainers, and valve body drain ports.
  • Captured modular spring assembly and captured O-ring design.
