The Febco 2 1/2 inch LF870V Double Check Valve Assembly is a lead-free backflow preventer designed to protect potable water from pollution due to backsiphonage or backpressure. This MasterSeries® device features a durable ductile iron body with ArmorTek® epoxy coating for corrosion resistance and OS&Y resilient seated gate valves. It is approved to ASSE 1015, UL Classified, and FM Approved, suitable for continuous pressure applications. This MasterSeries® configurable device is suitable for continuous pressure piping applications and cross-connections identified as non-health hazards, preventing the entry of non-toxic contaminants.

Construction & Design

  • Features a ductile iron body with a patented ArmorTek® 3-part advanced epoxy coating system to limit microbial induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrate.
  • Equipped with domestic OS&Y (Outside Stem & Yoke) resilient seated gate valves.
  • Includes two in-line independent positive seating check modules with stainless steel components, captured springs, and replaceable check discs and seats.
  • The modular design facilitates easy in-line maintenance, requiring no special tools for servicing.
  • Ships in the standard N-Pattern orientation, but can be reconfigured for vertical offset patterns.
  • Includes top mounted test cocks.
