The Febco 6" LF850 Double Check Valve Assembly is an in-line, lead-free backflow preventer designed to protect potable water systems from non-health hazard pollutants due to backpressure or backsiphonage. This MasterSeries® assembly is specifically configured without shutoff valves ("Less Gates").

Construction & Coating

  • Features a durable ductile iron body construction (Grade 65-45-12).
  • Utilizes ArmorTek® coating technology, a patented three-part advanced epoxy system, applied to internal and external surfaces (AWWA C550 fusion epoxy coated).
  • The ArmorTek® coating is engineered to resist both microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and general exposed metal substrate corrosion.
  • All wetted surfaces of this product contain less than 0.25% of lead by weight, meeting Lead Free requirements.

Design & Serviceability

  • In-line serviceable assembly for convenient maintenance.
  • No special tools are required for servicing the unit.
  • Includes two independently acting clapper-style check modules with replaceable seats and disc rubbers.
  • Features reversible and replaceable discs and field replaceable seats.
  • Equipped with a captured modular spring assembly and captured O-ring design.
  • Includes a winterization feature with disc retainers and valve body drain ports.
