The Watts 1 1/4" LF800M4FR is a Lead Free freeze-resistant pressure vacuum breaker designed to prevent backsiphonage of contaminated water into potable water supplies under continuous pressure. Ideal for irrigation and industrial process water systems, it features a durable lead free cast copper silicon alloy body and a unique relief valve to mitigate pressure from ice formation. It includes replaceable plastic and silicone seats, test cocks for winterization, and lever handle quarter-turn ball valve shutoffs. This device meets ASSE 1020, IAPMO, and NSF/ANSI 372 standards. Connections & Installation
- The valve is designed for installation in a continuous pressure potable water supply system.
- It must be installed 12 inches above the highest point of the downstream piping.
- The supply should be connected to the bottom of the device, and it must be installed in a vertical position.
- Features bottom inlet and side outlet connections.
- Equipped with quarter-turn ball valve shutoffs on both the inlet and outlet.
- Test cocks are positioned at the lowest point of the valve for winterization draining.
Compatibility Note
This pressure vacuum breaker is not designed, tested, or approved to protect against backpressure backflow or water hammer shock. For protection against backpressure backflow, a Watts LF009 Reduced Pressure Zone backflow preventer is recommended.

This 1 1/4 inch Watts LF800M4FR Lead Free Freeze-Resistant Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) prevents backsiphonage of contaminated water from entering the potable water supply under continuous pressure.
