Additional Details
The Watts 2 inch LF800M4FR Freeze-Resistant Pressure Vacuum Breaker Backflow Preventer prevents backsiphonage of contaminated water into the potable water supply. This device is commonly used in continuous pressure applications such as lawn irrigation systems and industrial process water systems.
Freeze Protection Features
- Features a unique built-in relief valve that automatically relieves pressure caused by ice formation within the valve body and internal components.
- The acetal bonnet acts as a “freeze plug” to help prevent body damage.
- Includes a freeze sensor connection kit (requires add-on kit, sold separately) to activate a monitoring system for low and freezing temperatures, with Wi-Fi alert capabilities.
A WARNING: The freeze sensor solely provides alerts and cannot prevent a freeze event. User action is required to prevent freeze conditions from causing product and/or property damage. The LF800M4FR is Freeze Resistant, NOT Freeze Proof; adequate drainage/freeze protection must be provided in cold weather applications.
Construction & Design
- Lead Free* cast copper silicon alloy body (bronze) for durability.
- Easy maintenance with a replaceable plastic seat, accessible internal parts, and no special tools required for servicing.
- Silicone seat disc for durability and an O-ring bonnet seal for less possibility of fouling.
- Test cocks are positioned for easy testing and winterization.
- Compact, space-saving design with lever handle quarter-turn ball valve shutoffs on both inlet and outlet.
