Additional Details

This 1 1/2 inch Lead Free reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly protects potable water supplies from hazardous materials caused by backsiphonage or backpressure. It is ideal for continuous pressure piping applications and cross-connections identified as health hazards.

Its exclusive design features a patented air-in and water-out principle, providing high-capacity relief valve discharge during emergency conditions when both check valves are fouled. The integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology detects excessive water discharges from the relief valve, helping prevent costly damage. An add-on connection kit (sold separately) is required to activate the sensor's alert features, which can integrate with BMS, cellular communication, or the Nexa® platform via Wi-Fi.

Construction & Design

  • Features a modular, compact design for easy installation
  • Can be installed horizontally or vertically (up or down)
  • Equipped with replaceable seats and top-mounted test cocks
  • Requires no special tools for servicing
  • Includes quarter-turn ball valve shutoffs with lever handles
  • Constructed with a Lead Free cast copper silicon alloy body and Lead Free test cocks
  • Check seats are 909 Celcon® and relief valve seats are Stainless Steel 909

Installation of a drain line is recommended, and an air gap is necessary when installing a drain line. Without an add-on connection kit, the flood sensor is a passive component and will not communicate with other devices.
