Additional Details
This 10 inch lead free FEBCO MasterSeries LF866 Reduced Pressure Zone Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly is designed to protect potable drinking water systems from high hazard (toxic) backpressure and backsiphonage conditions in accordance with Local Governing Water Utility Codes.
Primary Use
- Protects potable drinking water systems from non-potable quality water being pumped or siphoned back into the potable system.
- Suitable for high hazard/toxic applications in industrial installations.
Construction & Materials
- Constructed with a ductile iron body for durability.
- Features ArmorTek®, a patented three-part advanced epoxy system applied to internal and external surfaces, engineered to reduce microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrate.
- Includes stainless steel relief valve seat and stainless steel check components for maximum performance and durability.
- Equipped with UL Classified and FM Approved OS&Y resilient wedge gate valves.
- Lead Free construction to comply with low lead installation requirements.
Flood Detection System
- Includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
- Relays a signal for potential flooding when an add-on connection kit is activated.
- An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor. Without the connection kit, the flood sensor is a passive component that does not communicate with any other device.
- Connection kit options include BMS, cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor for integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS‑485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
Auxiliary Bypass
- Compact design, remains within the main valve assembly profile.
- Features an inline serviceable 3/4" check assembly with field replaceable seat and disc.
- Designed to detect potential underground water leaks and unauthorized water usage.
- Includes a gallons per minute (GPM) metered bypass that complies with ANSI/AWWA C700.
Key Features
- Inline serviceable assembly requires no special tools for maintenance.
- Designed with captured modular spring assemblies and O-rings.
- Features reversible and replaceable discs and field replaceable seats.
- Includes four properly located resilient seated test cocks.
