Flood Sensor Connectivity

  • To activate the integrated flood sensor, an add-on connection kit is required.
  • Without a connection kit, the flood sensor operates as a passive component with no external communication.
  • Compatible connection kit options include Building Management Systems (BMS), cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor.
  • The Sensor Control Monitor enables integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or with the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi connectivity.

Additional Details

This 2 1/2 inch lead free reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and water of non-potable quality from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure. It is ideal for protection in continuous pressure piping applications and at cross-connections identified as health hazards.

Its compact modular design facilitates easy maintenance with a single access cover for in-line repairs. This assembly includes resilient seated shutoff valves with a non-rising stem (NRS) and a patented cam-check assembly for maximum flow at low pressure drop.

Features

  • Stainless steel construction provides long-term corrosion resistance and maximum strength.
  • Stainless steel body is half the weight of competitive designs reducing installation and shipping costs.
  • Short end-to-end dimensions make retrofitting easy.
  • Cam-check assembly provides maximum flow at low pressure drop.
  • No special tools required for servicing.
  • Compact construction allows for smaller enclosures and easy in-line repairs.
  • Stainless steel relief valve features a balanced rolling diaphragm to eliminate sliding seals and lower maintenance costs.
  • Integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous discharge from the relief valve.
  • Flood alert feature activated with an add-on sensor connection kit, compatible with BMS and cellular network communication.
  • Integrates with the Sensor Control Monitor to deliver maintenance alerts to BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform by Wi-Fi connectivity.

Materials

  • All internal metal parts: 300 Series stainless steel
  • Main valve body: 300 Series stainless steel
