Description
Description
The FEBCO 2.5 inch LF886V Reduced Pressure Zone Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly provides crucial protection against backpressure and backsiphonage in high hazard, toxic potable water applications. Its robust ductile iron body features ArmorTek® advanced epoxy coating for superior corrosion resistance, including protection against microbial-induced corrosion. This lead-free assembly includes OSY shutoff valves, a metered bypass for detecting leaks, and an integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect relief valve discharge. The flood sensor can provide multichannel alerts when activated with an add-on connection kit, ensuring rapid response to potential flooding. Item number F683222.

Flood Sensor Connection
- The integrated flood sensor is designed to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
- To activate the sensor and enable multichannel alerts (call, email, text), an add-on connection kit is required.
- Connection kit options include direct BMS integration, cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor for Wi-Fi connectivity via the Nexa® platform or BAS integration via RS-485 Modbus.
- Without this connection kit, the flood sensor remains a passive component and will not communicate alerts.

Additional Details
The 2.5 inch FEBCO MasterSeries® LF886V Reduced Pressure Zone Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly is designed to protect potable drinking water systems from backpressure and backsiphonage in high hazard/toxic applications.
This assembly comes with OSY shutoff valves, a gallons per minute (GPM) metered bypass, and features a flood sensor for enhanced monitoring.
Corrosion Protection
- The iron components, including the main valve body and relief valve body, are coated with ArmorTek®, a patented three-part advanced epoxy system.
- This coating is engineered to reduce microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrates, ensuring extended product life and dependability.
Flood Detection and Alerting
- Equipped with a SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor on the relief valve, designed to detect excessive water discharges.
- When paired with an add-on connection kit, the sensor can relay a signal to trigger a multichannel alert (call, email, text) to notify personnel of potential flooding.
- Important: An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor. Without the connection kit, the flood sensor is a passive component that does not communicate with any other device. The flood sensor does not replace the need to comply with all required instructions, codes, and regulations related to installation, operation, and maintenance of this product, including the need to provide proper drainage in the event of a discharge. Watts® is not responsible for the failure of alerts due to connectivity issues, power outages, or improper installation.
Main Valve Features
- Features stainless steel relief valve seat and stainless steel check components for maximum performance and durability.
- Designed as an inline serviceable assembly, requiring no special tools for maintenance.
- Includes a captured modular spring assembly, reversible and replaceable discs, and field replaceable seats.
- The valve body is constructed from ductile iron.
- Utilizes a modular and repairable pressure differential relief valve and a clapper check assembly with a captured O-ring design.
