Installation Orientation

Connections

  • This assembly utilizes groove couplings on both the inlet and outlet for ease of installation and pipeline alignment into your system.
  • For flood sensor activation and extended monitoring capabilities, an add-on sensor connection kit (sold separately) is required.
  • The flood sensor can integrate with a Sensor Control Monitor for alerts to BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa platform via Wi-Fi.
  • When installing a drain line on this Series 957 backflow preventer, use 957AG air gaps.

This 3 inch reduced pressure zone assembly backflow preventer helps stop the reverse flow of liquids due to backpressure or backsiphonage, where potential health hazards exist. This extremely compact and lighter than a traditional designed assembly is approved for horizontal N pattern installation, provided it is installed in accordance with the direction of the flow arrow.
