Description

The Watts 3 inch 957ZRPDA Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly is a backflow preventer designed to safeguard potable water systems from contamination in health hazard applications. It effectively prevents reverse flow due to backpressure or backsiphonage and monitors unauthorized water usage in fire protection systems. This compact unit features a durable 304 stainless steel housing, UL/FM approved grooved gear operated butterfly valves, and a bottom-mounted cast stainless steel relief valve. An integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology detects excessive water discharges, providing critical alerts when paired with an add-on connection kit. It's approved for horizontal Z-pattern installation and includes a gallon per minute meter.

Flood Sensor Connectivity

This Watts 957ZRPDA backflow preventer features an integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology on the relief valve. To activate its communication capabilities and relay alerts for potential flooding events, an add-on connection kit is required. These kits offer compatibility with various systems including Building Management Systems (BMS), cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor. The Sensor Control Monitor enables integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.

Pipeline Connections

The assembly is designed with groove fittings to allow for integral pipeline adjustment and comes with UL Classified and FM Approved grooved gear operated butterfly valve shutoffs.
