Connecting the Flood Sensor

This backflow preventer includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology. To activate its alert capabilities, an add-on sensor connection kit is required. Without this kit, the sensor operates passively and does not communicate with other devices.

  • Connection Kit Options: Available kits can enable integration with Building Management Systems (BMS), cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor.
  • Sensor Control Monitor: This option facilitates integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.

Drainage Installation

  • Watts recommends installing a drain line and the required 994AGK-P air gap for proper drainage.
