Description
Description
This 3 inch lead free MasterSeries® reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly protects industrial water services from high hazard (toxic) fluids. It features a durable ductile iron body coated with a patented ArmorTek® 3-part epoxy system, offering superior resistance to corrosion. Stainless steel relief valve seats and check components enhance performance and extend valve life. An integrated SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor detects excessive relief valve discharge, with options for alerts via BMS, cellular, or integration with BAS via Modbus or Wi-Fi through the Nexa® platform. Item number F122958.

Additional Details
This 3 inch lead free MasterSeries® configurable reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly is designed to protect water services against high hazard (toxic) fluids in industrial installations and applications. It features outside stem and yoke shutoff valves.
Construction & Durability
- The assembly consists of a lead free ductile iron body, test cocks, spring loaded check valves, and a pressure differential relief valve.
- The ductile iron body is fused with a patented 3-part ArmorTek® epoxy coating system, designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion, ensuring advanced corrosion resistance.
- Improved with a stainless-steel relief valve seat and stainless-steel check components for maximum performance, greater dependability, and extended valve life.
- Features a configurable N-Pattern design.
Integrated Monitoring
- Includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous or excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
- When paired with an add-on connection kit, the sensor activates to relay alerts for potential flooding events.
- Connection kit options allow for integration with BMS, cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor, which enables connectivity to BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.

FAQs
What is the primary use of this backflow preventer assembly?
This assembly is designed to protect water services in industrial installations and applications against high hazard (toxic) fluids.
What is ArmorTek® coating, and what are its benefits?
ArmorTek® is a patented 3-part advanced epoxy coating system applied to the ductile iron body. It is designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion, providing advanced corrosion resistance.
Does this backflow preventer include a flood detection feature?
Yes, it includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology, designed to detect continuous or excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
How does the SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor communicate alerts?
When paired with an add-on connection kit, the sensor can relay alerts for potential flooding events via BMS, cellular communication, or through the Sensor Control Monitor, which integrates with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform by Wi-Fi.
What materials are used for the relief valve seat and check components?
Both the relief valve seat and the check components are made from stainless steel, contributing to the assembly's maximum performance and durability.
