Additional Details

This 4 inch stainless steel reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of fire protection substances and water of non-potable quality from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and/or backpressure. It is intended for use in health hazard applications, providing robust protection for water systems.

It is illegal to use this product in any plumbing system providing water for human consumption, such as drinking or dishwashing, in the United States. Before installing standard material product, consult your local water authority, building and plumbing codes.

Features

  • Features a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous discharge from the relief valve.
  • An add-on sensor connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor, offering compatibility with BMS, cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor for integration with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
  • Stainless steel body provides long-term corrosion resistance and maximum strength, while also being lightweight for reduced installation and shipping costs.
  • Equipped with domestic outside stem and yoke (OSY) resilient seated gate valves.
  • Includes a gallons per minute (GPM) meter in the bypass line to detect underground leaks and unauthorized water use.
  • Thermoplastic cam-check valves are designed for maximum flow with low pressure drop.
  • Corrosion resistant stainless steel relief valve features a balanced rolling diaphragm to eliminate sliding seals and lower maintenance costs.
  • Short end-to-end dimensions and compact construction facilitate easy retrofit and allow for smaller enclosures.
