Flood Sensor Connectivity

This Ames 5000SS Reduced Pressure Detector Assembly features an integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology. To activate and utilize the flood alert capabilities, an add-on sensor connection kit is required. Without this connection kit, the flood sensor will remain a passive component and will not communicate with other devices. Retrofit sensor connection kits are also available for existing installations.

Connection kit options allow for integration with various systems including BMS and cellular communication. When paired with the Sensor Control Monitor, the assembly can integrate with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling maintenance alerts to be delivered remotely.

This 4 inch Ames 5000SS Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly is designed to protect potable water supplies from dangerous cross-connections, preventing the reverse flow of fire protection substances and non-potable water due to backsiphonage or backpressure. It is ideal for continuous pressure piping applications and cross-connections identified as health hazards, including service line entrances. This compact modular design comes without the shutoff valves.
