The 4 inch Watts Series 957 Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) backflow preventer protects potable water systems from contamination by backsiphonage or backpressure in health hazard applications. Constructed with a 304 stainless steel housing, UL and FM approved domestic OSY gate valves, and groove couplings for straightforward installation, this compact unit includes a SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor. This sensor detects excessive relief valve discharge and can be activated with an add-on connection kit to send alerts via BMS, cellular, or Wi-Fi through the Nexa® platform. This 4 inch Watts Series 957 Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) assembly backflow preventer provides protection to potable water systems from contamination caused by backpressure or backsiphonage, especially where potential health hazards exist. This extremely compact and lighter-than-traditional assembly is approved for horizontal installation.

The assembly includes a stainless steel body with a quick access sleeve, torsion spring check valves, domestic outside stem and yoke (OSY) resilient seated gate valves, test cocks, and a corrosive resistant stainless steel bottom-mounted pressure relief valve. It features a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When paired with an add-on connection kit, the sensor activates to relay alerts for potential flooding events.
