The WATTS 4 inch 957-QT-FS Reduced Pressure Zone Assembly Backflow Preventer prevents reverse flow of contaminated water due to backpressure or backsiphonage, protecting potable water. This compact unit features a durable 304 stainless steel housing, quarter-turn ball valve shutoffs, and a corrosion-resistant relief valve. It includes an integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect continuous discharge, offering enhanced monitoring capabilities. Installation Guidance

  • This backflow preventer is approved for horizontal installation, provided it is installed in accordance with the direction of the flow arrow.
  • It features groove couplings for ease of installation and pipe alignment.
  • To activate the integrated flood sensor, an add-on connection kit is required (not included). This kit is a passive component and necessary for information downloads (RPZ-957/957DCDA).
  • The flood sensor can integrate with a Sensor Control Monitor, enabling maintenance alerts to Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or to the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi. Connection kit options include BMS and cellular communication.
  • When installing a drain line on Series 957 backflow preventers, use 957AG air gaps. The air gap brackets should be attached directly onto the flood sensor.
