Flood Sensor Connectivity

The integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology detects excessive water discharges from the relief valve. To activate the sensor for relaying alerts about potential flooding, an add-on connection kit is required. Connection kit options include Building Management System (BMS) integration, cellular communication, or the Sensor Control Monitor which allows integration with a Building Automation System (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.

FAQs

What type of fluid protection does the FEBCO LF860 assembly provide?

The FEBCO LF860 is a Reduced Pressure Zone (RPZ) assembly designed to protect potable drinking water systems from both backpressure and backsiphonage conditions, specifically for high hazard/toxic applications.

How does the ArmorTek® coating benefit this backflow preventer?

The ArmorTek® coating is a patented three-part advanced epoxy system applied to the ductile iron body. It is engineered to limit microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrates, enhancing the durability and lifespan of the assembly.

What are the shutoff valves included with this 4-inch assembly?

This 4-inch FEBCO LF860 assembly comes with domestic non-rising stem (NRS) resilient seated gate valves, which comply with AWWA C509 standards.

What is the purpose of the integrated flood sensor?

The integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology detects excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When paired with an add-on connection kit, it can relay alerts to personnel about potential flooding events.

What are the maximum and minimum operating pressures for this device?

This backflow preventer has a maximum working pressure of 175 psi (12.1 bar) and a minimum working pressure of 20 psi (1.4 bar).
