Description

The 4-inch FEBCO MasterSeries LF886W Reduced Pressure Detector Backflow Preventer is a lead-free assembly designed to safeguard potable water systems from contamination due to backpressure and backsiphonage in high hazard industrial applications. It features a durable ArmorTek coated ductile iron body, stainless steel relief valve seat, and check components. This model includes domestic OSY shutoff valves, a GPM metered bypass for leak detection, and a SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor for discharge monitoring. Engineered for a longer lay-length, it provides a convenient drop-in replacement for competitor N-pattern valves. The maximum working pressure is 175 PSI.

Help Me Connect

This 4 inch lead free MasterSeries® reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly is designed to provide drop-in replacement of competitor’s valves in either the N-pattern or Z-pattern orientation.

The assembly is fitted with UL Classified and FM Approved inlet/outlet resilient seated shutoff valves and contains four (4) properly located resilient seated test cocks as specified by AWWA Standard C511.

The auxiliary bypass line contains a 5/8" x 3/4" Water Meter that complies with ANSI/AWWA Standard C700 coupled with an approved check assembly compliant to AWWA Standard C511.

The integrated flood sensor requires an add-on connection kit to enable communication for alerts. Connection kit options include systems for BMS, cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor for integration with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform via Wi-Fi.

Flood Sensor Details

This backflow assembly contains a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When paired with an add on connection kit, the sensor is activated to relay alerts for potential flooding events. Connection kit options include BMS, cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor which enables integration with BAS via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.

WARNING: An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor. Without the connection kit, the flood sensor is a passive component that does not communicate with any other device.

WARNING: Use of the flood sensor does not replace the need to comply with all required instructions, codes, and regulations related to installation, operation, and maintenance of this product, including the need to provide proper drainage in the event of a discharge.

WARNING: Watts® is not responsible for the failure of alerts due to connectivity issues, power outages, or improper installation.
