Help Me Connect

Flood Sensor Activation

  • The integrated flood sensor requires an add-on connection kit for activation. Without this kit, the sensor operates as a passive component and cannot communicate with other devices.
  • Connection kit options include a BMS (Building Management System) kit, a cellular communication kit, or the Sensor Control Monitor.
  • The Sensor Control Monitor allows integration with BAS (Building Automation Systems) via RS-485 Modbus or through the Nexa® platform using Wi-Fi connectivity.

End Connections

  • This assembly features flanges compliant to ASME B16.1 Class 125 and AWWA Class D Flange standards.

Additional Details

This 4 inch MasterSeries® LF886V Reduced Pressure Zone Detector Backflow Preventer Assembly is designed to protect potable drinking water systems from backpressure and backsiphonage in high hazard/toxic applications. It includes OSY shutoff valves, a CFM water meter, and a flood sensor for enhanced monitoring.

Advanced Protection & Durability

  • The assembly's main valve body and relief valve body are constructed from ductile iron Grade 65-45-12.
  • Features a patented ArmorTek® three-part advanced epoxy coating system, applied to internal and external surfaces, engineered to resist microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrates.
  • Internal components include stainless steel relief valve seat and stainless steel check components for maximum performance and durability.
  • Utilizes two (2) independently acting approved clapper style check modules with replaceable seats and disc rubbers, designed for inline servicing without special tools.
  • Fitted with UL Classified and FM Approved OS&Y resilient seated shutoff valves and four properly located resilient seated test cocks.
  • The assembly features Lead Free construction, with wetted surfaces containing less than 0.25% lead by weight, complying with low lead installation requirements.

Integrated Flood Sensor

  • Equipped with a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
  • The sensor relays a signal to trigger multi-channel alerts (call, email, text) to notify personnel of potential flooding.
  • An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor. Without this kit, the sensor is a passive component and does not communicate with other devices.
  • Use of the flood sensor does not replace the need to comply with all required instructions, codes, and regulations related to installation, operation, and maintenance of this product, including the need to provide proper drainage in the event of a discharge.

Bypass Assembly with Water Meter

  • A bypass line includes a 5/8" x 3/4" CFM (cubic feet per minute) water meter (AWWA C700 Compliant) designed to detect potential underground water leaks or unauthorized water usage.
