Connections
- This assembly is fitted with UL Classified and FM Approved inlet/outlet resilient seated shutoff valves and contains four (4) properly located resilient seated test cocks.
- The auxiliary bypass line includes a 5/8 inch x 3/4 inch water meter that complies with ANSI/AWWA Standard C700, coupled with an approved check assembly compliant to AWWA Standard C511.
- The flood sensor is a passive component until activated by an add-on connection kit (not included). Connection kit options include BMS, cellular communication, and the Sensor Control Monitor which enables integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi.
Serviceability
- The main line valve body consists of two (2) independently acting approved clapper style check modules with replaceable seats and disc rubbers.
- Servicing both check modules does not require any special tools and is accessed through independent top entry covers.

FAQs
What is the primary purpose of the FEBCO MasterSeries LF886V assembly?
Its primary purpose is to protect potable drinking water systems from contamination due to backpressure and backsiphonage in high hazard/toxic applications, ensuring water safety and compliance with local codes.
What does "Lead Free" mean for this product?
"Lead Free" indicates that the wetted surface of the product, which contacts consumable water, contains less than 0.25% of lead by weight, complying with low lead installation requirements.
How does the SentryPlus Alert® flood sensor function?
The flood sensor detects excessive water discharges from the relief valve. To relay alerts (call, email, text), it requires an add-on connection kit (sold separately) for communication via BMS, cellular network, or Wi-Fi to notify personnel of potential flooding.
What is ArmorTek® coating, and what are its benefits?
ArmorTek® is a patented three-part advanced epoxy coating system applied to the ductile iron components. It is engineered to reduce microbial-induced corrosion (MIC) and protect exposed metal substrate, extending the product's lifespan and maintaining performance.
What are the maximum operating pressure and temperature ratings for this backflow preventer?
The maximum working pressure is 175 PSI (12.1 bar), and the continuous operating temperature range is 33°F to 140°F (0.5°C to 60°C).
