This 8 inch lead free reduced pressure detector backflow preventer assembly protects potable water systems by stopping the reverse flow of liquids due to backpressure or backsiphonage, especially where potential health hazards exist. It features an extremely compact design and is lighter than traditional models, approved for horizontal N pattern installation.

The assembly consists of a 304 stainless steel body with a quick-access sleeve, torsion spring check valves, outside stem and yoke (OSY) resilient seated gate valves, test cocks, and a corrosive-resistant bottom-mounted pressure relief valve. It includes a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve.

Flood Sensor & Connectivity

• The integrated flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology detects excessive water discharges from the relief valve.
• When paired with an add-on sensor connection kit (sold separately), the sensor is activated to relay alerts for potential flooding events.
• Connection kit options enable integration with Building Automation Systems (BAS) via RS-485 Modbus or the Nexa® platform through Wi-Fi, as well as cellular communication.
• Note: An add-on connection kit is required to activate the flood sensor's communication features. Without it, the sensor is a passive component.
